Quarantine sure did make us grateful for a past time when we could travel and see the world. Thank god for 2021 and vaccines, this year is already looking brighter! Part of the excitement in wedding planning is La Luna De Miel, or the Honeymoon! Getting to go on a romantic getaway as newlyweds sounds like heaven on earth. What better place to do that than in the warm beaches on the Caribbean? 

Worried about being respectful to other cultures and Covid-19 restrictions? No worries, here at WeddingBean we have done the research for you! Here are some of the top places in the Caribbean to spend your Honeymoon in 2021.

Dominican Republic

The DR is one of the hottest locations in the Caribbean. Known for its stunning waters, colorful sunsets, and extravagant resorts. The people are warm, and the food is full of flavor, you will not be able to get enough. As a Spanish speaking country, you will submerge in an extraordinary culture filled with bachata and hospitality like now other.

Entry Requirement

Travelers no longer need to provide a negative PCR or COVID-19 test upon arrival. Airports will administer a quick, aleatory breath test to between 3% and 10% of passengers. All passengers will also need to perform a temperature check. Travelers will be required to fill out a Traveler’s Health Affidavit upon entrance.

Jamaica

The country of beach vibes and going with the flow. Birthplace of reggae music and the one and only Bob Marley. Entry requirements

Residents of the US, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Panama are required to present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 10 days prior to departure. Effective on March 11, travelers must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure. Visit.

Puerto Rico

Although US territory, Puerto Rico is well established as a country of its own. Dominantly Spanish speaking, but most of the natives are bilingual so no need to worry about a language barrier. This charming island will enchant you with its food, people, and terrain. Oh, and you cannot forget about the mojitos!! Whether you are exploring Viejo San Juan, jumping into the waterfall in EL Yunque Rainforest, or getting some sun on Culebra Island, you are in for unforgettable memories.

Entry requirements

All travelers must have a completed travel declaration form and a negative PCR COVID-19 test result issued within the last 72 hours. Rapid tests will not be accepted. They must pass a health screening and temperature check on arrival and obtain an airport exit confirmation number and QR code.

The Bahamas

If you want adventure and relaxation, The Bahamas has it all! Get the best of both worlds on your Honeymoon. The ocean will leave you speechless. You can even swim with pigs! The Bahamas has 16 islands to explore meaning you cannot possibly get bored. If anything you will convince yourself to stay because there is so much to see!

Entry requirements

Traveler must have a COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 5 days prior to arrival. No other type of COVID-19 test is accepted. Travelers must apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa. Confirmation will be provided via email. Each traveler must have their confirmation on hand upon arrival at their destination. Travelers must also upload their negative COVID-19 test result. Travel Health Visa applications take up to 72 hours to process and should be completed with adequate lead time.

Turks and Caicos

The islands are famously known in several global hits! Luxurious resorts and a special opportunity to scuba dive along a 14-mile barrier reef. This British Overseas territory is truly the best kept secret. Picture perfect turquoise waters and remarkable beaches are sure to make you return.

Entry requirements

All travelers over age 10 except merchant seamen and airline crew must have a travel authorization completed 72 hours before departure, and a medical certificate with a negative PCR test for COVID-19 from within the last 5 days before arrival in the Turks and Caicos Islands. They must also have proof of health/travel insurance with COVID-19 cover (including cover for any necessary in-country medical treatment, quarantine costs or repatriation/medevac) and must complete a health screening questionnaire.
